All
sounds like a dura-lube or dyna-lube testing machine.
3
henry's trailers- specializing in trailers that are used in saltwater- uses only a proprietary red semi-synthetic distributed by bush brakes of national city, ca. red n' tacky is a very similar lubricant.
3
CU is crooked as hell
3
$40 horse- $100 saddle. i bet you've heard that before.
2
@laernulienlaernulienlaernu8953 that sounds like fun- just stand back....
2
i put tubes in my mower's tires/wheels. put a stop to that shit and no more goop.
2
U R not super-motivated, are you?
2
@headpainter1 harbor freight has the jerky ones.
2
very true- the cap/brushes usually fail before the stuff is gone.
2
i would think the grease alters torque readings more than the metal-enriched anti-seize would
2
called 'true-stretch bolts' and they are supposed to be torqued to a particular amount of stretch. easy to do with connecting rods that have accessible bolt ends- but most head bolts cannot be measured like that and you have to follow the torque specs and cross your fingers. chasing the threads is critical if you suspect or know it was put together with loctite. also, magnafluxing stretch bolts (or brand new OEM) is critical in a high-output motor. most manufacturers will not warrant such an install with used bolts.
2
go to a boat trailer specialist and ask what they use.
2
assuming it isn't DI, the fuel isn't being 'pumped into the engine' it is shot into the intake charge in an amount determined by the duty cycle of the fuel injector(s), which are controlled by the ECU, which is getting feedback voltage from the oxygen sensor(s). if you want to decarbonize the chambers- water is the fastest/cheapest way to do that.
2
how could they NOT work? you are effectively modifying the fuel maps...
2
i suspect the majority of spark plug/cylinder head problems are caused by guys who don't do a tune-up until the ignition starts screwing up under load/advanced timing
2
cheaper than a new tractor tire which is ridiculously priced.
2
@Jeff Yoder youre 72 years old- that's no excuse for ignorance....
2
@lbrowning4483 you must be using some cheap or diluted coolant- i've never seen/purchased coolant that was cheaper than gasoline....
2
works great on aircraft propeller-mount nuts
2
@johjoh978 what does 'degrade' mean?? does it actually affect the surface or does it only stain it? i like to prove or disprove things for myself- i don't believe what other people- even old timer mechanics- say about shit.
2
@ryanj610 he said 'punctured'- puncturing a tire casing does not put it into a 'compromised' state. if that where the case- no tire store would plug your leaking tire.
2
most farmers just use gold spray paint, but B-33 kicks in the buzz, too.
1
yeah- can you see if i already screwed up by using brand X??
1
i guess you would have to test its ability to conduct heat- that could get very technical
1
please dont do that to a 4.7L V8
1
@kiyoponnn or EPIC failures- theyre the WORST!!!
1
@mkvalkyrie WOW YOU ARE ON TO THEM!
1
it would take a hell of a lot more hydrogen for the ECU to see the difference, so it's doubtful that any mixture compensation is even taking place.
1
use non-pneumatic wheels and tires, you can get them thru harbor freight.
1
if you get a quality sensor like those from bosch or stranded motor products they come already dressed with seize protection- so relax
1
their beer sucked
1
thats bike-tire pressure- of course it will work
1
@Quickened1 just take the damn plug out before you go to the tire store. angi, and done.
1
its great for head bolt threads on all-aluminum engines
1
no, they won't do it because they sell chemicals which have already been developed. they are not in the business of testing chemicals- that's a whole new ballgame compared to simply producing the stuff. they may also be reverse-concocting their competitor's products, too. if that's the case the formula would be set in stone. ain't capitalism fun?
1
absolutely not- the red stuff from lucas is a semi-synthetic grease that won't contaminate brake linings and has superior heat-resistance and film-strength under extreme pressure. any grease can shed water and the tackiness is directly related to corrosion resistance. don't try to save money on lubricants- they are the cheapest part of the equation....
1
then i guess you didn't grasp the concept behind centrifugal force and how it keeps the slime on the outer portion of the tire air space and away from the inflation valve. they don't teach you that at the tire stores, do they? never saw anyone ruin a tire gauge that way....
1
@bertgrau3934 that sounds like an electronic problem- maybe it was a coil/trig unit combo?
1
non-metallic/non-conductive. i've never used it. i guess they use it on ABS systems.
1
Because sealants are idiot-proof
1
YOU NEED TO WATCH IT AGAIN and listen this time
1
haha i get it- feedback
1
don't bother- just use lucas' upper-cylinder lubricant- its the best widely-available fuel add out there.
1
@dangermartin69 but it will screw up exhaust temp sensors and some say it messes with the oxygen sensors, as well. lucas upper-cylinder lubricant/fuel treatment is what i use/recommend.
1
@salgonzalez908 that stuff is crap and messes with sensors. why on earth would you put an unidentified STUFF in your fuel??
1
i use shell's red grease on all my salt water trailers
1
bingo!
1
absolutely not- it burns way too fast
1
would have to use a hell of a lot in there to make that happen
1
i wouldn't recommend dry-torquing lug nuts that get dunked in saltwater regularly
