a quick look at the instrument wiring diagram would have shown the number of circuits in the ignition switch connections. as i recall the fords had very busy connectors....

@Maples01 no, but OBD-1 cars often don't need a scanner tool- some flash the check light to indicate the code(s).

my olds 88 had one in the glove box but you could lock the glove box door. it was a switch- not a mechanical release.

the early 70's ford full-size cars had stays on the fenders near the wheel openings- so they didn't 'sing' at high speeds......
