not funny at all- in fact, those are very good filters.

muk- when i was little, all we had were the xke jaguars. they were cool, but there was a lot more oil and transmission fluid on the road back then.

i LOVE z CARS, TOO. when we come across one in the junkyard, there's usually something there we want for our 510's.....

novartis once said "the best way to sell drugs is to invent sicknesses"

@alangil40 in the 510 sedans i've built for the stoplights, i've had a lot more problems with the twin-turbos than with any 5.0 mustangs. the numbers on the VG30DETT engine are false and actually are higher.

pull that crap off of there and find a 71-72 fuel system for it. check the engine stroke by removing a spark plug and turning the motor by hand and measuring with a slim dowel how far the stroke is. if it has a stroker crank in there (L24=73.7mm L26/L28=79mm STROKER=83MM) you want to know what you have. the stroker crank is worth a GRIP. If you need parts or advice on setting the carbs for the 2.8 (check it with the dowel trick) the guys at Z therapy are knowledgeable on this matter. good old car that was cursed by its abortion of a fuel system.

well a real underestimation of the japanese automotive engineers, especially after WE took all their existing tech and tooling after Surrender and very little credit to the retooling and restructuring of the JDM and basically all their steel making and heavy industries at the hands of the US. all state-of-the-art stuff that was well in place by the 50's- but they were using all-new machines and methods. prince also did their share of copying designs and systems from the european and domestic auto makers, as well. as a former SCCA fab tech, i agree the SRL/SPL311 cars were but holdovers from earlier years and the newer cars like the S30 and 510, 610, 710, 200SX, etc. seem lightyears ahead of the full-frame roadsters and sedans of the 50's and 60's. a good read- thanks for posting it.

not really- there were plenty of issues with the 350's. people who waited for the later 370's ended up with a much better car that didn't eat tires.....
1
oh, yeah, they called and said your versa was ready!
1
@williamlittrell2271 ..and a lifetime discount at the local tire store??
1
@mazinkaiser4941 wrong- datsun already offered a 1970 fairlady and she was a ragtop.
1
@missioncreekstyle3814 please- my daihatsu charade 1.3 4-cyl. could SMOKE that thing. Z32's are great cars- that makes up for your 411 brainfart

get rid of that toyota before they pull the plug on your parts, too.

i had an 81 coupe 2-seater GL auto. really good car- i wouldn't want to have to restore one, though. mine was 11 years old, 1-owner, and nice. sold her a long time ago to buy a dime (the car- not a bag of weed)
1
that's true of just about anything new on the road.... the one-piece toyota front-ends are butt-ugly.

you mean 'most idiots'
