  2. when i commuted back in the 90's- i would stop at the am-pm and get the soft-serve from their machine- but they took it out after people got sick. now i don't even get off at baker-there's an in-n-out at the lenwood/barstow exit and their food is always awesome. i think theres 3 in-n-outs in vegas. i used to eat at the one on south decatur when i lived there.

  9. if you have a car that gets good mileage its about $40 worth of fuel each way- its cheaper + you have a car when you get there. your price does not include rental cars which are close to $100/day.

  13. that won't work when I-15 is shut down completely- none of those roads can handle bypass traffic. thats why I-40 east was closed, as well. someone suggested diversion to 15S- only problem is 15S doesn't exist. i think the blockage was just south of halloran summit road. if you can't get to halloran or cima- you can't get to kelso or kelbaker rd.

  33.  @hugoaguilar3073  even so- its not a good idea to cross the center divide or drive the wrong way back to an exit unless you have a traffic cop direct you or give you permission to do so. if they have video evidence from car or aircraft- they can use it against you if you fight it in court. if you give them a hard time in any way- they can run your license plate # to check your registration and may also nose through the contents of your vehicle looking for violations. you want to appear to be legit and be courteous and they will bend over backward to help you.

  39.  @panchaabel  I-40 west wouldn't do them any good as it ends right there near barstow. they close I-40 east because there are no roads off the I-40/RT 66 corridor that can handle bypass traffic from northbound I-15. you would encounter bumper-to-bumper traffic ALL THE WAY up to henderson on RT 95.

  40. well that corridor goes from barstow to springfield mo. and there are some very remote areas. it seems like the traffic jams nearly always happen in those remote places.

  46. which makes NO sense whatsoever- that would put you on I-15 at barstow heights, which is south of where the accident happened. you would still have to drive north on I-15 to get to clark county PAST THE ACCIDENT SCENE.

  48. some people actually have a home in vegas and when THEY vacation they go to san diego where its beautiful (70-80 degrees) and friends, family , or a home where they can stay. thats why the heck they do it.
