If you transition after puberty, you'll spend the rest of your life not passing as the opposite sex. Think of how absurd and comedic most men look when they transition in adulthood, with their large frames. That's why not intervening until 18 isn't a good approach. It's all or nothing, "later" is a poor consolidation price.

@Chatty-zj3wb My point was that it's not an honest alternative. If you think they shouldn't do it at all, then say that, but don't pretend there's some sensible middle ground. Well, hormone blockers would be the middle ground.

@codycraine7101 Hormone blockers aren't without issues (obviously), but that's beside the point. I didn't say they should transition, I said doing it late is only an alternative if you don't care about them having a terrible outcome. People who are essentially saying “do it when it's too late” are dancing around the issue, their diplomatic solution isn't one.

@clutchboi4038 I'm saying people shouldn't pretend to extend a hand, they should be honest if they're against it across the board. Looks like your comment and a few others aren't visible in the thread anymore (I only see it in my notifications). Those were angry accusations though, so nothing of value lost.
