  13.  @JimCOsd55  The Soviet Union was divided into a number of former Soviet Republics, some of which remaining friendly towards the new country, the Russian Federation. But contrary to what you state it NEVER crumbled. Communism crumbled. It was decapitated. It lost its power. The country went through a period of general uncertainty and instability, especially under the leadership of inept, impotent drunkard Boris Yeltsin who was a " vassal" of what is known today as the "Collective West." But things began to change rapidly, especially after Yeltsin passed away. Even before Yeltsin had "kicked the bucket" powerful, well-organized, pro-Russia internal forces, independent of Yeltsin and his fellow politicians, began to gain political ground and power. One of the key leaders of those forces was Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, a former KGB official with tremendous knowledge and experience in national and international politics, global affairs, etc, etc. He was definitely not alone. It was " team work business" for the group of veteran leaders of which Putin was a key player. The task for them was to get rid of Yeltsin's fellow pro-West "vassals" and replace them with dynamic, competent leaders whose goal was to "make Russia great again". After they took over the reins of government, the systematic process of change began in full force. It resulted in the new country, the Russian Federation, being placed back again in the World map as a great, strong superpower giant. As I write these lines, the Russian Federation is so strong in every way imaginable that it is eclipsing the United States, which is in a state of decay and "pre-colllapse". The Russian Federation and the Peoples Republic of China are the new, undisputed world leaders and supergiants, greatly feared by the United States and its "Collective West" satelite countries. And Russia has the support of the great majority of the African, Middle Eastern, Central and East Asian countries. Russia is also supported by a considerable number of Latin American countries. Everybody on Planet Earth has two options: either accept the present reality of a multipolar World or remain a puppet and lackey of the United States and be dragged all the way down to the bottom of the abyss by that country when its inevitable internal implosion and collapse finally occur.
