  1. Nothing would change since the US would not have the power to stop the Europeans ans they would likely still prefer the USSR to the US -leading to the same circumstance of the US aligning with Israel.

  2.  @OKANGUVEN99  Simple. It's stuck in all our heads that we have a duty to help lest things get worse. When genocide occurs in Yugoslavia and Sudan, the inevitble question comes in as; why isn't the sole superpower stopping this? Recently being resisted against via a new isolationist streak, but very often WW2 is blamed at the US for NOT being a part of the international community in the League of Nations. Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
