If it takes you literal centuries to take a small country and then lose it then that is a lot more humiliating than failing to take a small country in 10 years, isn't it? There's also the fact that America never tried to actually "take" Vietnam. It was only defending the regime in South Vietnam. My analogy holds, and the obvious nationalist is butthurt about it.

You're boasting that future Korean dynasties weren't able to do stuff later, but that really has nothing to do with the topic. Fact is thus; China tried to conquer Korea. It failed, one way or another. Deal with it. Idk why you keep trying to act like I'm defending the US' loss of the Vietnam War tho, all I said that it was less embarrassing...and it was.
