  1. Vietnam War was surprisingly unimportant to the region itself and outside of the West. Multiple wars were ongoing at that point with atrocious numbers of people dying. The West rarely acknowledges these major wars unless they are involved in them.

  5.  @randomstuffs8495  Eh, the wars since WW2 have been relatively minor in terms of human suffering. And believe it or not, people have been dying a lot less from wars/conflicts ever since WW2 overall. That may have changed in this recent war, though.
