@jimkenealy6448 Impossible. If the US just gave Panama to Columbia against the wishes of Panamanians themselves, it would still be accused of supporting colonialism; just supporting colonialism of an ally. You'd have a point if there was significant movement in the land to rejoin Columbia, but suffice it to say, that was not the case.

@BurningFyre What are you talking about? The US promised independence for all of the colonies that wished to leave it by the early 20th century. The US was actually prolly the most honest liberator in the topic of colonization.
