@mikaschmidt2110 1) You do have good healthcare 2) US is generally considered an equal to Canadian education, so no dice here 3) Almost nobody actually gets killed by AR-15s in the US either 4) US invaded the British Empire which happened on Canadian land, and the Americans decimated the Canadians but were defeated by British Regulars and then veterans from the Peninsular War -so basically the Americans kicked Canadian ass when the Americans were still a weak baby nation There is also a lot of good points to the US too. There's a reason more Canadians move to the US than vice-versa, ya know?

@Great-Documentaries Canadians didn't take anything, the British veterans from the Napoleonic Wars did. Canadians just died.

@Agent-Blaze But...the Taliban never destroyed the Twin Towers... o_o Edit: Jesus, look at how many people there are that upvoted your literally incorrect comment. xD
2
@Agent-Blaze Hey man, roll with the Murican fat memes, at least there's some logic to it. You were just plain wrong about the Taliban, so eat the humble pie lol

@cheerbozz Nah, I think that the US resumed trading with the British soon after the Revolution since it was still its biggest trading partner. Remember that the Brits didn't let the US trade with anyone but them for their entire existence, so that'd need time to change. Ditto goes for financial institutional loans and lending. I do recall that the US borrowed money from the Brits, though I could be wrong.

@kidyaes9832 Sorry bud, but while the US got a draw, it wasn't like the US "let" anyone win :p

@ardenmackenzie9680 He just said "good education", not affordable education. So no, he really didn't. But yes, Canadian education is affordable, true. I haven't met a single American that thought the War of 1812 was a victory, though every single Canadian I've met thought they won it, so idk. The US' goal was actually to stop the British harassing the US' trade network and removing British influence in the country itself since it was still organizing Native American raids into US territory to destabilize it. Prior to the War of 1812, the US was also considering war with France for the same exact reason since both sides were doing it and France had no territory for the US to take. Every historian regards the War of 1812 as a draw via both sides accomplishing some goals but not achieving all of their goals. Its a purely Canadian myth that the US started the war to take them over. It's a part of the national myth for their own identity, as far as I'm aware. I'm not offended btw, if anything feel free to be more blunt.

Weren't the French on the brink of collapse multiple times without Napoleon? :p
1
@Bastienreturn Most nations can survive without their leaders literally leading the armies all the time. Are you saying France is an exception to this? 🤔
1
@Itachi951000 Butthurt much? Holy mother of essays. Frenchies always get so mad with stuff like this. 😂
1
@Itachi951000 What are you talking about? I made other comments, but none of them were disparaging. This was just a meme comment, but I'm beginning to think there's some truth in Frenchmen's insecurity complex. 😂
1
invalid username None of you people can take a meme comment, Jesus. Everyone knows that the France Surrender meme is just that; but you joyless sticks in the muds will cry about that, won't you? 🙄
1
@Itachi951000 Psht, if anything I've argued against people that unironically thought that the French surrender meme was a thing. But French inferiority complex is definitely a thing, apparently.
1
@paranodrum9171 It did. The French kicked ass. Now I have to be 100% serious because Frogs have zero sense of irony in this comment section. 🙄
1
invalid username And why not? Are the Frenchies such snowflakes that you can't make memes about them? This attitude is precisely why people keep rolling with it; because it gets reactions like in this comment section. I didn't think French people would legit get so butthurt though. I'm honestly impressed.
1
@Itachi951000 Cry harder.
1
invalid username This is not a mature topic to begin with. You're claiming that certain things shouldn't be memed, as if they're holy. Uh, no. Unless people died recently, anything can be made fun of and turned into a meme. Unless you have a good reason to say that something shouldn't be memed, this conversation is over.
1
@Itachi951000 I knew damn well that France was dominant back in the day. Anyone with a brain knew that. But if we're being serious, then here's another genuine fact; France is little more than a vassal of the Muricans today. An Anglo nation. So I get why French like you cling to your past all the time. It's because your present is so disappointing, right? I'm curious whether you know about it and acknowledge that?

@paranodrum9171 I make fun of the Americans and they have a good laugh and maybe a few point out that its wrong. I get that. I make jokes about the Poles and they have a good laugh with a few corrections. I get that. I make fun of the Brits and they have a good laugh with a few corrections. I get that. I make fun of the French, and like 30 French guys and French supporters sprint at me telling me how wrong I am. Give me a break. Only the French get this salty about the past. Even if I were a Brit, getting salty over the past is stupid. You don't need an obvious /s to have a good laugh at a meme against your people/country, and if a correction was to come around then you don't need to be an utter prick about it either. Next time I make jokes about the French, it'll be about their actual insecurity issues rather than any stupid surrender memes. At least that jab will be reality, as seen in this comment section. It's hardly just me that's getting bombarded for stupid jokes. 🙄

@Johnmhatheist And one day, future Americans may one be ashamed of you for having or not having a belief they may hold virtuous in the future. Some things are fair, like the Vietnam War, but others are more a product of their time. Also, holding the Korean War as something to not be proud of? Oh boy, South Koreans will be bashing the hell outta you lol
1
@Johnmhatheist You realize nothing I said was about policing the world, right? Jesus dude. It feels like you're conflating the US' role as a superpower as something to be ashamed of and then having it infect all of the US' actions. First of all, that's NOT something to be ashamed of; it's specific actions that needs to be shamed of. The point wasn't to stop communist regimes, it was to stop their spread. Which was successful in Korea. Seriously dude, do you even know what happened in Korea? I don't think people should be taking in your opinion if you honestly seem so confused.
