@Amadordeeleo47 US stepped into LatAm mostly because they were unstable and weak. It chilled out since then, but other nations will probably play the same game in the future.

@Adam-lz7sr Mexico was going to lose that land anyway, tbh. The entire reason it lost it was because it had barely any people there, and could not support the citizens there; so invited US migrants to use them as a means to take care of the Indigenous tribes themselves so Mexico didn't have to. If the US wasn't there, the Indigenous tribes would've retaken it eventually.
