@jonajimify Nobody cares for your excuses; this is not a negotiation -Russia can collapse tomorrow and sanctions will not be lifted until they leave Ukraine.

@jonajimify America and parts of Europe warned this would happen and to diversify Russian energy sources. Idk how America put them into their situation; they tried to warn Russia from invading Ukraine and its that action that prompted even the Germans to turn away from Russian gas.

@jonajimify For the same reason nobody cares about Hitler's views; sometimes any attempt of justification for an action falls short. Unless Ukrainians were literally genociding all ethnic Russians, nothing could justify Russia's attempt at conquest. Let alone intervention. No, NATO is not the US' tool to destabilize Russia; NATO has never once attempted to destabilize Russia. NATO may be the US' tool to spread US influence, but it can't actually threaten Russia itself -especially with MAD in play. The only thing NATO threatened was Russia's sphere of influence, so there is no "defending his country", there is only "attacking to defend his country's influence/prestige". And that's nowhere near justifiable for this war. Don't pity Putin or Zelensky; they both knew the consequences of their actions, and Zelensky considers it a worthy price for national independence from Russia while Putin vastly underestimated both Zelensky's and the West's resolve. While also vastly overestimating Russia's power; a common trend in dictatorships who are used to yes men. Russian sanctions stay. And more should be applied until it leaves Ukraine, even if it collapses.

@jonajimify I also find it hilarious how suddenly NOW people have an issue with proxy wars; as if the USSR and China haven't done the same to the US in Vietnam and North Korea. It's almost like Russian supporters are grasping at straws.
