@raccoontrashpanda1467 No, it isn't fair at all. 2020 was a baby's year for the human experience. The amount of people that died per capita was pathetically low. Of course this doesn't feel that way for the victims, but that's the blunt fact of the matter. Anyone calling 2020 "the worst" are infantile.

@clockeight5747 Gaining wealth from exploitation only works in the short-term, once its gone and the recession hits; those former empires recover and grow like usual. And the UK was a smoldering mess post-WW2 as well; so claiming a "western monopoly" helped them grow is a hilarious thing to say. That's like saying China had a monopoly around the Pacific for all of its history to grow; that isn't how it works. The Western nations grew powerful prior to their empires, not vice-versa. Anyway, India's economy is robust, but that's to be expected. India's landmass and resources SHOULD get it a higher standard of living than the UK. India isn't breaking any records in this regard.

@aasamspb967 India really isn't doing any better than how it was a few years prior. It's growing steadily, which is fine, but this new Hindu Nationalism is very concerning. And deflecting it by crying about some imaginary "british sick media" is laughable. That "british sick media" is far more critical of Western nations than critical to India, let alone its current politics.
