@AlexV6 Ukrainians loved Russia in 2013. Funny how things change.

@anthonytran7566 US can crush any Russian army that crosses into Ukraine, which is good enough in this case. Won't invade Russia proper though.

@anthonytran7566 I am literally in the US Army, so let's see if you're telling the truth. Name your unit and what is your MOS? None of these have a high security clearance; so you should be able to answer it easily.

@lldd11 A drill with 150k men which lasted only a week right at Ukraine's border? 150k men which can likely conquer all of Ukraine? Imagine how Russia would screech if NATO had a "drill" near Russia's borders with 500k men. We both know the answer to that, but you shul for Russia too much to care for the truth.

@isahbello9785 Russia is hardly a threat to the US, seriously speaking now, if you're talking about military capabilities. Everything Russia has is decent enough to roll over weak militaries, not a superpower. The last time Russians attacked the US was in Syria, and that resulted in 200 Russians getting killed with no US casualties. You tell me how Russia would fare with the US actually bothering to kill Russian soldiers.

@davidnoelfranks1124 Did NATO withdraw or something? Pretty sure the one that backs off "blinks".
3
Russia was forced to back off with its tail between its legs after mobilizing 150k men. Let's not sugarcoat this lol
3
@ДмитрийЖихарев-ъ1х Prolly because Russia instigated the conflict and was responsible for much of the killings in these regions?
2
@isahbello9785 I mistake Russia for a rational and civilized actor. You're right, I'll lower my expectations. Apologies.
2
No, we'd just be rushing in to push Russia back. And there is no such thing as a drill of 150k men, smart one.
2
@EmperorEdu Uh, no. The US alone exceeds Russia. All of Europe can match Russia, but are unwilling to, so they mostly leave it to the US. NATO all together crushes Russia but won't go deep with the threat of nukes.
2
@mathewomolo We are keeping things in perspective. Last time Russia put troops at Ukraine's border, they literally invaded and took territory. What, are we just supposed to forget that and focus on what they have done the last few weeks? That's not how international politics works. People remember.
2
@ryansurgison3618 It's just 2 warships. It's not a carrier group. And Russia literally deployed 150k troops and then retreated for 1 week -that's just pathetic lol
2
@VirgoAtheist0971 Joint exercise with nowhere near enough men to threaten Russia (28k) and eastward expansion at the begging insistence of countries that want protection from Russia (seems prophetic now)? Wow, how aggressive...
2
@anthonytran7566 Then you're an even bigger shill than I thought, since you'd know damn well that Russia is not a threat to the US whatsoever. It's a threat to US allies.
1
@kishanchali8752 They can't without triggering war. Which is why NATO has troops and air forces at the ready. Which is precisely why Russia can't do anything more than arm rebel forces and aid indirectly. The second NATO backs off, Russia can do whatever it wants.
1
Scotty Doesnt Know!!! Russia lost even worse than the Americans and collapsed right afterwards to those same "sand people" lol
1
@darkmatter5424 Mexican-Americans, actually. Am Hispanic, can confirm. This is a common phenomenon in border lands.
1
Russia isn't Communist.
1
Why would they? NATO is not out in force near Russian territory. If there's 100k NATO men at Russia's border, then feel free to talk.
1
@sekogasiskren9406 NATO didn't make a treaty, and the person that made such a promise had no authority to do so. And it didn't push to expand either, Russia's former slaves wanted to join on their own accord and Russia has no say in the matter. "Warmongers" Russia literally crushed independence movements and then stole territories from two tiny countries next to it. NATO had literally no troops near Russia's borders until 2014, then Eastern Europeans demanded NATO protection and it obliged. All of the current tension is caused by Russian paranoia, which justified Eastern European concerns and their decision to join NATO. Understand? Russia is its own worst enemy. If Russia tried to get along with Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, etc then NATO would have dissolved due to lack of fear. Russia has no one to blame but themselves for starting trouble where there was none.
1
@lukaslipovsky340 Dude, how can you tell that when Russia invaded first before holding the referendum and disallowed any international observers from making sure the referendum was legit? That's beyond suspicious. No, he's prolly talking about the bunch of times Russia has bombed hospitals carrying civilians in Syria.
1
@reddyforlenny9389 And why is a "Red" even pining for the borderline fascist Russia? You "Reds" ran out of Marxists so now you're backing fascists against democracies? Going back to your Stalinist roots, eh?
1
@reddyforlenny9389 I'm not actually, but I kinda assumed since your pfp and your name kinda pointed to it and I've met a lot of Marxists that genuinely stan for Russia. So I was curious. My bad if I made a bad assumption.
1
Even disunited, which it really isn't, the US can crush Russia conventionally. And even with a toddler, Russia did not cross the US actively. That's what it means to be a superpower, I suppose.
