@susantan7112 Wtf? Russia was a colonial exploiter too; they were just limited in Siberia/Central Asia. And also enslaved a huge swath of their own population. By your logic the US wasn't a colonial exploiter either.

@edmondfookwenglee6372 I'm not sure what bullying the US is doing in the case of stopping other countries from bullying its allies. Is sending aid to Ukraine bullying Russia, despite the fact that it was Russia that invaded? And if that's the case; why is that wrong and China/USSR sending aid to North Korea/North Vietnam A-OK not bullying? Be honest, you don't give a crap, all you care about is the US not contesting what you want to do.

@riderofapocalypse8327 Have friends who visited Russia. Confirmed it was quite poor by Western standards. And its GDP is the size of Italy, a fraction of Russia's size and population.

@alphabogeyman7462 NATO cannot force an attack on anyone, NATO operations are done by willing partners or via Article V. More to the point, Russia has nukes so starting a war against Russia is braindead for humanity's future. That doesn't mean Russia's military isn't a joke.

@305jett Are you braindead? A country can be rich but still have poor citizens; per capita the US citizens are among the richest on the planet but its HDI has it in the high end. And if the dollar crashes, everyone's gonna crash with it. Every country on the planet holds onto dollars in large amounts too.

@riderofapocalypse8327 "Peace of mind" what an arbitrary designation that means nothing. How do you even determine that? Happiness? Because Russia is pretty low on the scale of happiness compared to the US. Sorry bud, but George Floyd sounds nice when there are at least a multitude of ethnic and racial minorities across the States. No such thing in Russia, as the most poorest regions are pretty much all non-Russian ethnic while the wealthiest regions are all ethnically Russian. By any metric possible, Russia is doing poorly compared to a country like Italy, let alone the US.

@riderofapocalypse8327 In any MEASURABLE METRIC Russia is in no shape or form a country on equal terms or even in the same ballpark as the US. Any metric outside of something measurable is effectively worthless. I can dream that I'm the Lord of the world but that doesn't make it true.

@loneranger4469 US blockaded Cuba when the Soviets were placing nukes in Cuba, I don't agree with it but that's far more reasonable than Russia literally trying to conquer Ukraine because it wanted to get closer to the West. These aren't comparable. And Russia invaded multiple countries too, genius. Afghanistan, Chechnya, Georgia, Libya, Venezuela, Syria, and now Ukraine. The US didn't even really stop them, and isn't even really stopping them now -but is doing what Russians did in Korea/Vietnam by supporting the victims. And now Kremlin bots are screeching at how mean and unfair it is. Cry me a river.

@markward3981 Nope, but it did maintain peace in Japan, South Korea, Israel, France, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Morrocco, the Philippines, Australia, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Kosovo, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey. US concept of peace consists of screwing over other countries trying to step into other countries and then leaving the victimized countries alone after that. Latin America has been at peace ever since the Cold War ended; literally making South America the most peaceful continent on the planet. So in terms of countries making peace, the US is genuinely number 1 on the planet.

@markward3981 Are you referring to internal peace? I thought you were referring to peace between nations -not internal peace. Do you want the US to become some kind of uber imperialist where it literally strips a nation of all sovereignty by forcing peace internally? Because that's the only way to stop such stuff like drug wars within LatAm countries. Via international norms, South America is the most peaceful continent on the planet, like, this isn't up for discussion. By your logic the US did nothing wrong in Iraq because the region was already "at war" due to internal conflicts already there.

These countries have nukes sure, but they don't literally threaten other countries with them, let alone threaten countries stepping in THEIR offensive wars. Did the US claim countries would "disappear" in nuclear war if they interfered in their Iraq or Afghanistan Wars? DId France threaten as such in its war in Algeria? Did the UK threaten as such in the Falklands War? No, only Russia has ever threatened other countries with nukes in a war THEY started. And tools like the people of this channel are cheering them when Russia has effectively weaponized humanity's destruction for their imperialism. If karma exists, you pretty much guaranteed generations of destruction in the future. Inb4 you try to deflect instead of address the literal worse thing to happen in recent memory; the threat using of nukes in aggressive wars instead of MAD.

The thing where everyone agreed would be bad? Why is it suddenly okay for Russia to ignore all of that and put everyone at risk now???
