@youngz13o China is being called a villain because it's acting like one. Stealing territories is from an age that has passed, yet it seems content to isolate itself from any good publicity. China should have been fermenting trust in its neighbors, but instead is antagonizing them and driving them to a US that itself has been antagonized. And you recommend more?

This isn't even Five Eyes. Five Eyes are a coalition of English-speaking countries pooling their intelligence agencies together, while this is just most of the West. Not all of it, but most.

@15seconds3 It's crazy how many mainlanders obsess over their century of humiliation when they've been treating everyone around them like that for all of its history. You'd think you'd try and be better than that; but instead you're just recreating the series of events for another century of humiliation. And I just find that sad. Do you feel powerful by stealing territory from weak nations? One thing to attack a fucked nation to rebuild it up like the Americans, another to steal away the livelihoods and futures of other countries. China is already isolated, while the West, for all of its BS, has powerful allies when it comes to China. China made a terrible mistake in revealing itself as a predator too early. Youtube is broken, btw. Even I found my comments disappearing at times.

China has no right to be doing what it's doing, and any complaints about its treatment from countries around it can be roundly pointed out as hypocrisy from the CCP. What are you even talking about? 😂 What, when the US was liberating the Philippines from Japan, did they mistake Filipinos with the Japanese somehow? 😂 Unlike the Chinese, Americans actually try to resolve their racism and work to make a society where all races stand together. Even with modern issues, Asian Americans know that China is the enemy.

@bobbuilder1255 UNCLOS doesn't restrict anything the US does. The US Congress simply has not ratified UNCLOS like it hasn't ratified a lot of treaties since it doesn't like being beholden to anything. But there's nothing in UNCLOS that the US has violated. It has peacefully figured out how to split its EEZ claims with other countries and no one has any issues...besides Venezuela with Guyana, I think. The US military goes through international waters, not other country's territorial waters unless they're in open conflict.

The massive loss of life that crippled the Native American population occurred after the first Europeans came and occurred due to plague and disease; not so much conquest. Natives were killing Natives long before that, which is fine; having a similar ethnicity does not equate to being friends. Whites killed more Whites and Asians killed more Asians if we look at it historically. People closer to each other have more conflicts.

@susiex6669 The US' status as a first world nation isn't in danger, though. Like, at all. And most of this sentiment is native-born, the US only recently began going against China in reaction to long-standing economic exploitation from China. If the US is going against China for very much justifiable reasons, then I see no reason why that should be condemned.

No one is condemning China for having territory outside of their original River Valley Civilization in the Huang He River -everything outside of that consists of conquests of China. But that was a different age. This is the modern era, the Post-WW2 era with the advent of the UN and NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO DO THAT. Yes, not even the United States. No one is condemning China for having slavery for most of its existence either. But China is doing so, so everyone is justifiably upset. Call US allies what you want, but many of them consist of the most powerful nations of our times. You keep trying to use whataboutism to dodge the shitfest China has stirred, but it doesn't detract from anything. China is WRONG in this, and is only earning more enemies because of it.

EVERYONE is. So the better question is; why are you specifically taking China's side when EVERYONE ELSE is not? At a certain point, if every other country involved disagrees with you, you must realize that you're wrong. Edit: And really, China has a terrible history of lying all the time as well. So even in this, your own question can be returned to you. Why are you trusting a state that has a very long history of lying to you?

You claimed that China has the right to be firm since it was victimized, and I noted that by this logic everyone around China has the right to be firm with China then. Am I wrong? Edit: China grew by tricking the US into thinking it was going to be an ally. They worked a deal that the US would keep virtually zero tariffs on Chinese goods and thus would let their own market suffer for an alliance, and China abused that trust and acts like the victimized party when the US finally wants to balance that trade again after several decades.

Native Americans aren't in concentration camps, and police killings are extensively talked about. And I ain't British in blood, but even if I were, a China man can't cry about imperialism of all things. Again though, this has nothing to do with the conversation at hand. @alhassangangu4357 US left Iraq and it led to ISIS coming in. We're leaving Afghanistan. And the SDF and Kurds want us in Syria. All bases have the permission of local governments to be there.
