@88271D Germany had the biggest industrial base in Europe, so it doing well is expected. What its leaders are supposed to do is use that power well; which they didn't. Germany's actions and lack of diplomatic wisdom saw it lose almost half of its territory in both World Wars and being split in half. In fact, Germany only survived NOT getting dismantled because the Anglo nations didn't want it -it was completely at the mercy of the Allies, and if the US and UK were more cruel, could've simply made Germany disappear forever as the Soviets and French wanted.

The British burned the White House. The Canadians got their ass kicked, but eventually managed to beat back US militias with British aid. And at the time, the White House was just that. A white house. It wasn't anything important, unlike today. The real danger was destroying NYC or Philadelphia.

You're a literal boot licker wishing to ally with people that fully intended for Germany to be an economic ruin when the people that broke their backs trying to help Germany are just "dishonest imperialists". Hey man, Stalin also promised Eastern Europeans free elections, so if you wanna take his word for it, be my guest! And being a POS and proud of it in the case of the Soviets is infinitely worse than trying to not be a POS. The US could've been a POS and proud of it, but then Germany wouldn't be a leader in anything but a broken wreck, wouldn't it? Besides, both sides were hypocrites, or do you think the USSR didn't claim "liberation" or "anti-imperialism"? "Liberators" mean to liberate from tyranny, not to spend Allied lives just to save German infrastructure. The Western Allies had no obligation to save German cities, and had no obligation to help Germany after defeating it. The fact that they did anyway and yet you curse them is just pathetic. The Soviets literally raped Berlin and stole all of the industrial machinery it could from the territories it took all while ethnically cleansing Prussia and you bitch about the Western powers. Imagine being such a cuck for tyrants. Enjoy Americanization, buddy. Watch how your "culture" diminishes into little more than a commodity. German culture is dead and has been for some time. Remember; Germany did it all on its own.

@die1mayer And yet they have the most sophisticated alliance systems in all of world history while Germany barely has control over its own backyard and has been split apart and under the whims of foreign powers for almost a century.

@die1mayer US wouldn't have been able to support the USSR if not for the UK, and the US wouldn't have been able to get into Europe without a springboard in the UK either. And to be frank, all of Europe is a de-facto satellite to the Americans, ya dingus. The only reason Germany gets to do anything is because the Americans are unwilling to actually twist its arm too much. Imagine being proud that the Pacific will be the center of power in the future over the Atlantic LOL. The Americans as a country are only growing more powerful with the times, while Germany's economy can't keep up. The UK with its connections to other Anglo nations will be able to stay in the center of the actions. Now, like back then, Germany will be left behind. Left to live only due to Anglo kindness when the French and Soviets would've preferred dismantling Germany entirely. So quit with the ludicrous pride, yeah? There's nothing to be proud of Germany about.
