@Pops646 Yeah, except there's no actual proof that any study has provided that actually points to "opportunistic criminals and looters" doing the majority of rioting in BLM riots. That's just what they hope. All we know for a fact is that BLM riots has destroyed a few cities, though yes, it's ultimately just a fraction of BLM protests; it's still a LOT to claim that it's a "peaceful" movement.

@shawnchuang1101 BLM is seeking to stop police brutality against blacks. It's a black advocacy movement, and specifically ignores or downplays the wider issue for all races; all while being backed by foreign agents to ferment distrust and ignoring specific circumstances which help contribute further hate and division. MAGA is about returning the US to a more stable and freer entity, but I agree that overall its stupid. If we use the, like, 1% to reflect the entire movement, then BLM are all nothing more than racist idiots trying to tear apart the country for their masters in Russia. Your comparison is glaringly wrong, and likely purposefully so.

@MiaoNya It kinda is since a lot of these people would just ignore BLM riots. But ultimately, no one should dispute that everyone involved in the storming should be arrested. Just as no one should dispute that anyone involved in a BLM riot should be arrested.

@discoveringsoul7600 One believed they were trying to end systemic racism but in actuality was just trying to replace systemic racism with more systemic racism. The other believed they were saving democracy but in actuality broke in with some attempting to usurp the democratic process. "Mostly peaceful" This is the first ever riot by Trumpists. BLM has had multiple, with far more damage done to cities. Ultimately, I actually like BLM better than the Trumpists since there are some elements of truth to BLM that Trumpists lack, but your comparisons are stupid. In Antifa like 70% of the rioters were white. In BLM, almost 90% were black. BLM are about as terroristic as these rioters, which is to say, not very.

@alexh5725 Deploying the national guard takes time. It would have done nothing in this case, but it is scummy to not deploy them for later at least.

@TheGerm24 It was an investigation more than anything. Fact is, they didn't find anything to incriminate Trump with. So anyone still trying to pin Trump on this are doing so more out of hate than actual wishing for justice.

You don't need to believe in particular fascist ideals to be a fascist that suppresses things they don't like and advocates for things they do while ignoring democratic beliefs in the process.

That being said, like the Trumpists, BLM leaders have some unfortunate ideas even if they ultimately have good intentions. If you can't see that twisted logic, then you don't actually want to come together with others and see pass the differences.

@alexh5725 Uh, he wasn't willing to have tanks for BLM until AFTER several riots occurred. I think that's at least somewhat reasonable. Just as I think it's reasonable for any movement that inspires people to burn down cities, including any right-wing idiots. Trumpists, for all of their stupidity, had yet to fall to the trap of becoming a riot. Now they have, and now they suffer a similar stigma as BLM. And only specific people wanted to overthrow the government. Not leaders. Not representatives. Not the whole riot group. Seriously, BLM has leaders that express wanting to burn it all down, does that makes all of BLM a bunch o traitors that need to be shot? Tell me, how far does this hypocrisy go? That being said, I do agree to an extent that Trump was shuffling his feet on purpose. Just not unreasonably so. The Senate agrees with me, apparently.

@K9 Sorry, I missed it then. Can you post them again? Also, I post links just fine, idk why you have issues. BLM is based on police brutality, which while small, is based on the idea that they unfairly target blacks in particular. The evidence for this is shaky, and I don't agree with it, but police brutality IS a proper issue to be factual. Per capita it's on the levels of less wealthier countries, not other first-world countries.

@zentonil Uh, except that there are videos of people screaming "die pigs" while in a protest and counting on cops to protect them still. It's a stupid assumption for any individual against another individual, but this blatant hypocrisy is on both political spectrums.

@zentonil The mob stormed the Capitol but never actively attempted to usurp anything of the democratic election outside of specific individuals. What they did was punishable by jailtime, but calling it an insurrection is as stupid as calling BLM an insurrection. Or terrorism. Stop abusing these words.

@zentonil In this case? It holds no relevance. But the cry of hypocrisy in commentators condemning these rioters and then conveniently forgetting their sides' foibles is just humorous. And part of the problem, really. They ignore their sins and act high and mighty when we all should be calling out these bad things; but instead we excuse them by pointing at the other side.

Because there was no evidence that this would turn violent? This was the first time a Trump protest turned riot and Trump himself would be there. Everything points to this just being a run-of-the-mill protest. Now any Trumpist protest has to include a decent police escort just in case because they ruined that reputation.

@JCO2002 Honestly, that's likely more your fear and paranoia finally winning out than anything. This was impossible to predict in terms of looking at what occurred before and making an educated guess. Groups like Antifa causing a riot? More understandable, they've been violent for a while, but I also wouldn't guess that they'd burn down a city if I heard they were protesting tomorrow. So really, they shouldn't be contrite, they should be more concerned with your mental health.
