The US had zero obligation to the Kurds in the First Gulf War -that kind of imperialism at the time would've been problematic.

@xaykosseennee4146 Relatively consistent all things considered, that's consistent across the West who bothers doing statistics on it.

Afghanistan burned because its people let it burn. There is no evil greater than an evil of apathy -and 99% of the world is apathetic. America is a saint in contrast, despite its terrible deeds.

@jessehorstman Blunt truth. You're the only one deluding themselves, buddy.

@jessehorstman Prove that apathy is the state of most of the world? Look up any comment section from a news channel not from the West about the Russia-Ukraine War and see how many justify genocide and conquest. Or really, any conflict and see how they justify it unless it's about Western imperialism. Then many find their moral backbone.

@jessehorstman So basically you just live in your own reality where fact doesn't matter? Bin Laden was never a CIA operative or a friend, he was exiled from his family for being an insane religious person and joined the Mujahideen; the CIA never hired anyone from that group but instead gave support to them against the USSR. FFS, being Saudi citizens doesn't matter. What matters is the organization they served, which was Al Qaeda which was its own organization of loons that hated the US for daring to step onto Saudi Arabian soil where Mecca was near. And the Taliban, an offshoot of the former mujahideen, supported them. Thus the Afghan War of 2001. Do you know ANYTHING about what transpired or are you just guessing because "gubment bad"?

@natedogg890 Too much, obviously. No other country would ever take so many refugees in a stupid war. They'd just bomb them. That's America's failure, I guess.

Thank God they didn't, that'd imply being stuck in Afghanistan for years longer.
