@chrisg9274 I mean, we could, but like you made up 13k of that number. The OSCE has a count of 14k killed in the breakaway regions in 8 years overall and by both sides. 3k of that being civilians. And you completely made up the fact that they were all 100% ethnic Russians. So yeah, you're a perfect example of Kremlin propaganda.

@MrTaloul Yeah, and how exactly would such an alliance occur? It would occur if the US somehow threatened such nations to the point they feel they need that alliance. Wow, its almost like the US needs to be a braindead tool to force countries to do that! Edit: Basically, don't be like Russia and threaten to invade literally everybody to not form an alliance against you.

Except that's a braindead assertion. Russia winning in Ukraine means that it weakens the US' overall reliability, meaning that other big powers that have a reason to weaken the US internally and externally will have more ability to do so. Even if the US went full isolationist, all you'll really be doing is giving future enemies the means to co-opt allies into enemies.
