@arturturk5926 Those who make those claims do little but parrot what they hear from others who are just as ignorant as themselves. Informed people; people in the military, such as Sir John McCall, John Spencer, Richard Kemp, all say otherwise. I wouldn't get information about, say, Physics, from butchers, dress designers, etc., who know nothing about Physics. Let alone the data itself points in the opposite direction.

@tubthump To start with, said territories aren't occupied. According to Geneva, Occupation takes place when the hostile/occupying army replaces the government of those occupied. It includes physical presence by the occupying army. No such thing is happening, as Gaza, Area A, have their own respective autonomous governments, and, pre October 7, there were no Idf troops patrolling either region. Just what aspect of self-determination are non-Jews being denied? There are Arab political parties; many condemning Israel, Arabs in just about every profession , even a Muslim Arab was appointed to the Israeli Supreme Court. Seriously, you ignore much worse in several countries, how hamas abuses Gazans, but condemn any little imperfection by Israel.

@someboi4535 Not aware of any such, let alone older than Jews. What was their religion, economy, art, etc?
And the League of Nations does have that right, as all the countries at that time were signatories and thus the Mandates are legally binding. But if you deny such rights, then you throw the boundaries of Syria, Iraq, etc., into question, as they all derived from Mandates.

@ashbeck1736 Israel became a country naturally, per the Mandate System, as so many other countries: Irak, Syria, Lebanon did, in their ancestral lands. Notice: Jews: Judea, Arabs: Arabia. The region of Palestine had become stateless as a result of the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire. Several states, including Israel, Syria, Lebanon, etc. were created to provide locals a state. I don't see anythIng strained or unnatural about Israel, nor the way it was created.

@DaveDave-e4t Er, no such genocide. When they give earnings before attacks, allow in aid, have a civilian to military death ratio of 1:1; among the lowest ever, let alone in urban warfare, when several military such as Richard Kemp, John McColl, John Spencer claim no genocide going on, that's credible, more so than those who never were there claiming. When 21,000 civilians, less than 1% of gazan population are killed in a year, claims of genocide are nonsense. Yet so many choose to ignore wars with much higher death tolls, you doubt the sincerity of their cincern for the well-being of civilians.

@malek3764 Thanks again. One last one, please: How do we actually use the model for prediction? Say I have a few data entries, as, say a Numpy array for the problem as the one in this video: Each entry would be a string (Age, Gender, etc ). How can I apply the resulting model to test whether they were predicted to survive? Or, for other models, to, say decide if an animal in a pic is a cat or a dog. How do we accept input data and get our output , e.g., (cat, cat, dog,.., etc)?

@harley5qw1-sz8wt IIRC, bella haddid, born in DC in 1996, worth some $23 million, is, to the effects of UNRWA, a refugee, and, as you said, entitled to claim refugee status. Same for thousands of others with nationality in 3rd countries. Given UNRWA needs its charter renewed to keep operations, let's lobby so it's charter isn't renewed next up in 2026.

@OompaL0ompa Right, because Iranians, Russians, etc., have been held responsible for everything. And Israel was granted under the Mandate system, used to create Syria, Iraq , Lebanon as well, where thousands of Kurds, Assyrians, etc you don't care about, were displaced.

@iruns1246 No. I've found sources from Muslims who believe they were being trained to that effect during the Arab Winter in 2011. And evidence of outside funding of such for pro-Palestine( pro-hamas, really) college and otherwise demonstrations. Evidence of such support through mosques, Islamic centers in Europe , elsewhere. The latter has led to several forced expulsions. But I'm sure you're better informed than all police, others who have investigated and concluded such, and harshly restricted Islamic immigration. I don't believe all Iranians nor Muslims support such, but several, enough, do. Evidence is convincing that several college pro-pal demonstrations are astro-turf, with outside funding and organizing, rather than grassroots; that concern for Palestinian civilians is a facade that many gullible types buy into.

@augusthoglund6053 How so? Do people only do things explicitly? They let thousands in without keeping track of them. That's ignoring the law, failing to enforce it. How am I being disingenuous on that account when I just say that they failed to enforce the law? Just like they failed to implement sanctions against Iran, which received, as a result, some $120 billion, which was transfered to their proxies. If they had enforced the sanctions, October 7 may not have happened. Price of food also spiraled out of control. I know, I do my own food shopping. Ultimately, they either supported wokism or at least went along with it, whose policies, including transitioning, were disastrous. He drew a line on the sand with Maduro after twlling him he had to leave before 11/5; election day, and then didn't follow up. I'm not even a Republican, nor Conservative, but Biden, Kamala, did a poor job.

@tubthump Yet they ignore that the definition is not met. There haven't been Idf troops patrolling gaza before 7/10/2023. The Idf isn't substituting the government of gaza nor of Area A. They're an affiliate of the corrupt UN. The UN's Human Rights council includes the likes of Russia, Iran, cuba and Venezuela. UN has condemened Israel more times than Russia, NK, Iran, China, Combined. UN has a comittee to investigate crimes by Israel, but not by any other country. One of the participants in said comittee, one Francesca Albanese, accepted money by a Pro-Pal group to go to Australia to speak against Israel, a violating of basic ethics/impartiality rules. UN has one agency just for refugees of the 1948 war; UNRWA, one general such agency, UNCHR, and no agencies fir refugees of any of the hundreds of other wars since the UN's inception in 1945. Does that seem fair, impartial to you?

@BiharyGabor Er, no, upon transfer of Mandate land, Israel automatically acquires the boundaries of such land. Just like several other countries like Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, etc., that evolved out of the Mandate system. I told you, beyond that, I'm not clear, as Oslo was the governing scheme since 1993, after which it was violated repeatedly. Thus I'm not clear on its status at this point. Funny how those like you only question Israel's claim to its land, but have no concerns for the ownership status by other countries.

@BiharyGabor The terms by which the Idf operates in Judea and Samaria, _ have been agreed to_ by both sides. As such, it is _ not_ forceful, nor has it been impossed / done under duress. When the terms have been agreed to, there is no dictatorship by the Idf. Want to see dictatorship, look at hamas, which is in its 17th year of a 4-year term, which governs without any controls, opposition party nor free press. And you endorse the sham of the UN, UNRWA, who have artificially kept this problem ongoing. UNCHR was able to place all its refugees in a few years , while in 75 years, UNRWA has increased the number from 700,000 to 5.9 million. UNRWA considers any descendants of refugees of 1948 to be refugees themselves, so that, even those that have acquired nationality in 3rd countries are still considered refugees. So, the likes of 28-year old Bella haddid , born in Washington DC, worth around $23 million, a supermodel, is a refugee, and, as such, can claim benefits from UNRWA. Spare me your lecture. I'm done with this exchange. My " lack of answer" is the result of vague, unverifiable claims and appeals to authority, as you demand sources without providing any yourself. Good day/night, etc.

@ashbeck1736 Well, it's an opiniin, not like I can run a double/triple blind experiment to verify it. If you check " Our World in Data", you see the exponential decrease in poverty rate, increase in literacy, etc, after ww2. If the US, West wanted to keep others down, they wouldn't have provided the technology of the Web for free. Sorry, but this comment section doesn't allow me to see your comment in full, so I'm guessing beyond the first few lines of your comment.

You mean , e.g., Islamist migrants without advanced skills, who have turned areas into war zones, who disproportionately receive welfare, are a resource. As in, e.g., those who attacked Rushdie, led grooming gangs in Rotherham, are overrepresented in violent crime, are a resource?

@SalvadorOchoa-p9k No one is taking nor has taken any " Palestinian land", as, among other things, there has never been any nation of Palestine. And, no, you clearly don't know the US helped, as the US didn't help Israel until recently. And good job ignoring that Iran, NK, Russia, a good chunk of the current 1.8 billion Muslims , want to destroy Israel. That , some 10 countries and 1.6 billion , against Israel's 9 million, is fair to you. Israel is mostly self-reliant in high tech; one of the world's top in several areas, independently of US support. Unlike your Muslim countries, who have produced nothing of value for several centuries. Try again.

@brianstockwood6635 His claims are nonsense. For one, more Germans died in ww2 than Brits or the French. That doesn't imply the Germans were oppressed. Let alone hamas makes no effort whatsoever to protect their civilians, while Israel spends $billions, requiring sirens and shelters. Hamas also spent billions in aid through UNRWA building tunnels , turning water pipes into rockets, rather than using the money to benefit gazans. Several at the top have siphoned aid money into their secret bank accounts. Gazans live in squalor while hamas keeps itself sheltered in the tunnels , where they have access to reliable water, power, food supplies. You hear about starvation, then you see a group of captured hamas ops, rosy-cheeked, with full bellies and man-breasts that could use supplies from Victor's Secret.

Besides, her " What would happen if the pro-Palestinian * side had attacked the pro-Israel side" is in no way a hypothetical. It has happened several times. You've had pro-Pal crowds walking into Jewish neighborhoods chanting, carrying their signs, flags. So, Anna, no, it's not a " What if", it has happened several times.
Notice the similarity of the flags, the chants/slogans, the placards, the protest methods. It reeks of outside agents training the protestors.

She offers no specifics and offers no evidence. No surprise there. There's evidence of trucks carrying tons worth of food, aid, into gaza. Several pics of food stands bursting with produce and supplies. Are these all photoshopped? You know, it's much harder to lie under a Western government than under one like hamas. Israeli government has a system of internal controls, where just about everything they do is documented, a full paper trail. Let alone that hamas itself admited to have overstated the number of deaths. Well, she's part of the sick joke the UN is, where the Human Rights Council is chaired by Syria, Cuba, Iran, among others. Re " A significant part thereof, the total is estimated at 12,000 civilians. This is close to 0.5% of gazas 2.3 million people. This woman is spewing falsehood after falsehood, and never offered evidence I could tell about intent.

@Madridista8585 Firstly, very few were forced out. Arab armies invaded in 1948, intending to commit genocide on local Jews. If Jews had sought to kill them, just how do you explain that there are 1.8 Muslim Israelis today? Let alone millions of others have actually been displaced; recently through ww2. Millions of Czechs, Ethnic Germans, Karelians. The creation of Syria, Iraq, displaced Kurds, Assyrians. You don't seem too upset at their displacement. There was no distinctive Palestinian civilization. No distinctive language, culture, literature, etc. They were at most nomadic groups. Arab armies launched a genocidal war against Jews in 1948 and lost. They don't get to complain.

@GrouchyMonk2025 Your premises just don't hold up. Jews had been living there for centuries and had built their culture in the region. Notice, Jews: Judea, Arab: Arabia. And, no, it was not " centuries ago"; Jews had been living there continuously over the centuries. But I can turn things around on you and say that Arabs ( allegedly, as many are recent arrivals) living there, does not grant them rights to the land. There are other issues: Palestinian Arabs were granted Jordan. Secondly, they were not forced out by Jews, some of whom actually asked them to stay, but rather Arab leaders asked them to leave. Then there's the fact that Palestinians had found refuge in several Arab countries, which then forced them out. Why not give these countries the burden of absorbing the Palestinians they forced out. Lastly, Arabs launched a genocidal war in 1948 . And they lost. When a group launches and loses a genocidal war, they don't get to complain. If Palestinians were forced out, just where did the current 1.8 million Muslims come from? Some 850,000 Jews were forced out of Arab countries. That apparently is a non-issue.
There is no such " theft". The Mandate System works as it does because it's essentially impossible to distribute land in a way that pleases everyone.
Several other countries were born through the exact same Mandate System, where some local groups were displaced: Syria, Irak, Lebanon, etc. Wonder if you call that theft as well.
Ultimately, millions have gone through similar or worse than displacement and have moved on, rather than brooding and nursing resentment for 76 years. Have Palestinians do that. There is no such theft beyond your opinion; neither laws nor precedent supports claims of theft of land.

@_sahalahmed Er, no one shoved them there, and it's not an open air prison, as they can move about gaza, go to work, etc., without any coercion. Maybe if they had not gotten forced out of Jordan or Kuwait, they would not be in gaza. If they had not been repeatedly, cowardly, attacking and killing Israeli civilians, they could be prosperous and happy. Do tell about the _ specific_ points I dismissed. They, hamas, brought it on themselves. Good job pretending to care about gazan civilians while ignoring hamas treats them like garbage and Syria, Lebanon, treat them like 2nd class citizens. But that's ok, since Israel isn't involved. You offer no specifics. How surprising. No one more ignorant than yourself.
