  1. .40 is a favorite of retired cops and hoodlums, which is kinda ironic. Apart from the "I carried this for 20 years and so I'm sticking with it" crowd and the "dat jawn hot" crowd, .40 is pointless. Carry a 9mm if you're worried about two-legged threats. Carry a 10mm if you're worried about four-legged threats. If you can't afford anything other than a police trade-in Glock, sure, .40 works.
