  1. I had a friend in college, a black guy, who had been stationed in Korea when he was in the Army. He had a Korean wife. I had another friend, a white guy, who had also been stationed in Korea, and he'd had a Korean girlfriend while he was there, but didn't marry her. I was in the Marines, and we don't have anyone stationed permanently in Korea, and so I don't know first hand. I was in Japan, and they didn't seem to have any bigger problem with black Marines than they did with white Marines there, but they didn't like the couple of Korean guys I knew.
