  1. "Shooting trees" and using rusty barbed wire are not by any stretch of the imagination war crimes. If an enemy gets cut on concertina wire that has not been deliberately smeared with a biological agent, what happens if his wound gets infected is by no means the fault of whoever laid that concertina wire. No reasonable person would make such a claim. As for "shooting trees", making this a "war crime" would basically disallow any and all combat in wooded terrain. Banning deliberate deforestation for strategic or tactical purposes is VERY different from banning an artillery strike on an enemy in the woods.

  2.  @7ofspades7  Neither of those things are even "technically" war crimes. It takes a deliberate misreading of the statutes in question to interpret them as such.
