  2. Sounds like the Welsh tourism board ought to hire you, because you've made Wales sound a whole lot more interesting than I had any idea it was. Now if you can pronounce Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, I'd be Really impressed.

  4.  @july8xx  German is at least phonetic though. That name has four Ls in a row at one point, and several long sequences without a vowel in there.

  5.  @Ynysmydwr  My Christian name may be Welsh, but as far as I know I don't have a drop of Welsh blood, have never been anywhere in the UK, and don't speak a word of Welsh. I was named for Evansville, Illinois, where my grandmother was born.

  6.  @Ynysmydwr  I don't think I've actually been to Evansville. I haven't been to Illinois since I was like two (except for a couple layovers in Chicago). I had no idea who Evansville was named for, but that is interesting.
