To the rest of the world, the battle of Poitiers is the one where English bowmen fucked up the cream of French chivalry. The one that came after Crecy and before Agincourt.

@pietristephane3537 Seeing as how you frenchies were routed horribly at Poitiers, it seems to me that the winner of the battle gets to decide what it's called. Which means that the French get to name very few battles.

The West needs another Karl Martel to smash the paynim that are at the gates. Islam is incompatible with civilization.

Also, his name wasn't Charles. It was Karl. Charles is just the soft, French version of Karl.

@taketimeout2share I'm American, Beavis. Poitiers is where the French got schwacked by English longbows. Tours is where Martel fucked up the saracens. Just a real shame for Martel and the Franks that their progeny ended up French. Because the performance of the ancestor at Tours and that of the descendant at Poitiers (and the recurring poor performance of French arms dating to Napoleon's brilliant "invade Russia" idea if not earlier) would have him rolling in his grave.
