phatrides222000 34 isn't too old. The Army National Guard accepts applicants up to 45. The Marine Corps, in theory, only accepts people up to age 29, but you can get waivers, I knew two 31-year-olds at boot camp. I don't know about any of the other services. If you actually want to join the military, quit making excuses and go see a recruiter. If not, then just shut up about it. NO veteran likes hearing the guy who says "I would have joined, but...". It's obnoxious and lame. If you have the balls to join, join, if not, nobody wants to hear about it.

Shut up. Nobody wants to hear "I would have joined but..." Either you join the military or you didn't. Those of us who did don't want to hear your excuses, they make you sound pathetic. "I would've joined but they said I couldn't because of my gluten allergy" or whatever the fuck is ridiculous. Nobody cares. Despite what you may think, you don't get any points for "almost" joining the military.

m2350 Put up or shut up. Either join the military, or don't talk about it. Every veteran in the goddamn country has heard numerous stories about "I was gonna join, but..." and we all hate them. There is no "almost", you were either in the military or you weren't, it's that black and white. If you weren't nobody wants to hear about how you would've been Ricky Recon except for that gluten allergy or whatever other lame excuse you have.
