  1. The biggest misconception, which you just perpetuated, is that the war only took place in Europe. You know, there was a major war going on in the Pacific as part of the whole thing. Biggest battlefield in human history, largest naval engagements, island hopping, the US Marine Corps making a (glorious) name for itself, only use of nuclear weapons ever, all that fun stuff.

  3.  @lancelot1953  Yeah. I just read the thumbnail and not the actual video title, and then got annoyed that the Pacific was ignored. It was my own fault for not paying attention. You know what they say about Marines....
