  1. I think in this scenario, the US would have to come in on Britain's side, which would change the balance rather significantly. Also, invading Britain is always harder than it seems. There's a reason it hasn't been done successfully since 1066. The Brits fight pretty hard when their backs are against the wall, as Napoleon and Hitler's proto-EUs learned to their detriment.
