Good. These were all absurd cases of good men railroaded for killing the enemy. They never should have been charged in the first place.

There is nothing inherently offensive about blackface. It's no more offensive than wearing a wig or a fake mustache or something. People offended by it are the same people who enjoy getting offended about absolutely everything.
3
@spoony4938 That doesn't mean anything. Dressing up as something that you aren't is not inherently offensive. Stop looking for things to be offended by. It's boring.
3
wild DeVine blessins Punctuation is cool. And you still haven't explained why you think it's inherently offensive. It seems more likely to me that you just want to be offended. That your life is so devoid of actual problems that you have to find things to rail against to have some kind of meaning. Grow up.
3
@CanaanBasedMovie The only explanations I've ever heard are idiotic question begging. It is objectively benign. Stop looking to be offended at things. When you do that, you are making everything worse for everyone.
3
@CanaanBasedMovie First, when you use the word "racist", you've lost the argument. It's a word that has zero meaning other than a vague condemnation without anything to back it up. It's used by stupid people in lieu of argument. Okay, now that we have that out of the way, you still seem incapable of explaining what is actually offensive about dressing up as someone of a different race. Are you saying that blackface implies an offensive caricature? It has been, and can be used that way, but isn't necessarily creating an offensive caricature. Blackface is the epitome of what "woke" people pretend to be offended about. It isn't offensive in and of itself.
3
@spoony4938 You're being ridiculous. Dressing up as someone is not dehumanizing them.
2
@spoony4938 You're being deliberately and willfully stupid here. You're talking about certain specific uses as opposed to the idea in general. You like getting offended. That's what the crux of the matter is. Regardless of how objectively offensive something is - and blackface is objectively benign - you feel the need to take offense because you feel that it validates your existence, and you don't have any real problems. Grow up.
2
@spoony4938 "Racist" just means "I dislike this but am unable to make an argument against it". So yes, grow up. Stop getting offended over nothing.
2
@spoony4938 Yes, you can find obsolete dictionary definitions. Good for you. Now, explain to me how that definition applies to blackface... Like I said, it just means "I don't like it, but I can't argue against it". So you've had your virtue signal, you've demonstrated just how "woke" you are, we're all very impressed.
2
@detrajackson5992 Oh please. A woman soldier and her POG husband? You don't understand any more than any civilian does. I was a Marine rifleman, I fought in Iraq, and I understand that the ROE aren't always realistic, and sometimes it is absolutely necessary to the mission and to the lives of our own men to...shall we say "cut a few corners" where absurd ROE are concerned. If you aren't a combat vet, if you don't have a CAR or CIB, you don't know what you're talking about.

@Stevie Lee That's a slogan, not an argument.

wild DeVine blessins Yeah. That was incoherent gibberish. Learn to read and write, Beavis.

wild DeVine blessins I can't respond to this illiterate babble. They make these really cool things called books. I suggest trying them out.

These three men were all good men who killed the enemy and were brought up on politically motivated charges for doing their jobs. It's an absolute disgrace they were ever charged in the first place, but that's what happens when a bunch of chumps in Washington who have never been on the same continent as an armed enemy set inflexible rules of engagement that don't always fit neatly with the reality on the ground.

@c3aloha Krulak is a man whose opinion I respect, but the fact of the matter is that he wasn't on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan.
