  1. Honestly, your ideas about military recruitment are ridiculous. I joined the Corps in 2003, when there was a war on, because I wanted to fight. I don't know what the peacetime Marine Corps is like, and I wouldn't want to know. I can't speak to the lesser services, but people join the Marines to go to war. If there's no war to fight, I get why recruitment is low. People join the Army, Navy, and Air Force to get real skills that work in real life, and go to college and shit. But they do that without serving, too. And people join the Marines to kill people and break things, and that opportunity doesn't exist like it did in my day.
