  1. "I, Claudius" is a good book, but it is very bad history. It takes every salacious rumor about the Julio-Claudians and treats them as fact, and runs with them. A fun read, but not a good source for information.

  2.  @theallseeingmaster  I get that, but any discussion of "I, Claudius" and "Claudius the God" require a disclaimer about the very dubious history. Too much historical fiction is taken at face value.
