The Crusades are every bit as real as the desperate Scottish attempts to form a dysfunctional state instead of being part of a prosperous and moderately free nation.

You're so willing to completely ignore every bit of history just to discredit those who keep you out of the grasps of the Germans, and Soviets, and any other external threat in the last century. "Americans can't fight". Ridiculous. If you mean "one of the two major American political parties has no stomach for a fight over the last 50-odd years", you'd be pretty close, but to say that Americans can't fight is patently absurd and requires a willful ignorance of modern history. And it also ignores the fact that the British military does a lot of joint training with us. But hey, you Scots won at Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn, and those 600 year old victories have to count for something, right?

  3. Yeah, the Scots didn't actually win independence in the end. The Scots won a temporary victory, and lost every other time they attempted to fight the Brits, including that laughable referendum a couple years ago.

And make better whiskey than the Scots, which is pretty pathetic when you consider that it's like the one thing from Scotland that anyone cares about. So have fun jerking off to Braveheart while spooning haggis into your face. Oh, and speaking of haggis, I find it quite ironic that someone from a region where chopped up offal mixed with oatmeal in a sheep's stomach is the pinnacle of cuisine trying to rip on Americans by mentioning cheeseburgers.

  5. Hells Highway "Xenophobic"? In what way? Pointing out that Scotland isn't a real country, which it isn't, and that the Scots have spent centuries losing wars of independence, which they have, is just reality, any Scottish delusions to the contrary nonwithstanding.

  6. ***** I know Scotland has unsuccessfully pretended they weren't a subsidiary of England for centuries. Face it, you're a "country" the same way Hawaii is a country - actually less so, because Hawaii isn't connected to the mainland US, has its own distinct culture and language, and has a state government that has far more say over how it is governed than the ridiculous Scottish parliament. Because we have federalism in the US, and you don't. And I'm not British, I'm American, and I find Scottish nationalism to be about the most ridiculous political movement imaginable.

  10. ***** First, learn the difference between your and you're. Because you're wrong basically every time there. Second, your (correct usage there, second person possessive) understanding of the American Revolution is rather deplorable. Britain wasn't at war with France at the time - that's the War of 1812 you're (correct usage, a contraction of "you are") thinking of. France did get itself involved in our Revolution, and their navy certainly helped our cause, but the fact of the matter is it was Americans, not Frenchmen, who got Cornwallis to surrender at Yorktown, and the French didn't even join for a few years, until they realized our fight was winnable. Third, Britain DID pick another fight with the US, in 1812. They burned Washington and then were defeated in detail at New Orleans, and ran off. So yeah, have fun being from the UK's fucked up backwater, and fucking sheep or whatever it is you do for fun.

Didn't really take then, did it? I don't see an independent Scotland now... The United States is the best country on the planet by almost any metric. We're richer, more powerful, more influential, and more free than anyone else. We are the world's greatest innovators. But hey, have fun pretending that it isn't so and that your nonexistent "country" of Scotland is somehow the equal of the rest of the UK, to say nothing else of the Western world. The only things you have to offer to anyone else are whiskey and bagpipes. This Internet thing you're lamely attempting to argue on? That's an American invention.
