@eutenhomuitosnomes5485 Buy my Operator Edition Brown Bess, a short barrel musket with original polymer folding stock, M-Lok handguard, carbon fiber ramrod and top rail for a red dot sight, all with an authentic Kryptec camouflage Cerakote job. Captured from real SAS operators at Yorktown!

Didn't they just take late war Yugoslavian junk, clean it up, restock it and engrave German markings, then sell these Mausers at an absurd markup? I think I remember they took Mosins, added new manufacture bent bolts and scopes, and sold them as sniper rifles to unsuspecting customers as well. Do they even still exist? I used to see ads in gun magazines all the time, but it's been a while. Then again, I don't often read printed gun magazines any more.

I'd like a Luger and a P38. I'd never heard of either the "Black Widow" or "Grey Ghost" before, and it wouldn't affect my purchasing decisions for either of those pistols.

@MonkeyDespot I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a couple boxes of "Black Talon". The original stuff, not the post-hysteria rebranding. Not because I would use it as defensive ammo, or even range ammo, just because of the hysteria. I'm sure that any left is selling for ridiculous prices because other people feel the same way. TEFLON COATED BULLETS SLIP THROUGH THE FIBERS OF KEVLAR VESTS!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!

@MonkeyDespot All that was before my time - the Black Talon nonsense was one of the first gun control flipouts that I remember. And yes, I know that they weren't actually Teflon coated - but the shrieking gun control fanatics didn't. I didn't know that the legislation against AP ammo had anything to do with the myth about Teflon coated bullets, or which idiot came up with the prima facie ridiculous idea that the Teflon coating allowed the bullets to slip between Kevlar fibers. I do remember that the flipout over Black Talons had to do with them being "armor piercing" and "Teflon coated", though they were neither.

@MonkeyDespot I don't remember the KTW bullets at all, but if they were a solid steel bullet with the Teflon coating, I can understand why the nutjobs focused on Teflon - they just got the feature wrong.

@5roundsrapid263 Yeah, that's ridiculous. I wouldn't pay 3X the price for a box of ammo I wouldn't even use. Winchester should have just said "go pound sand" and continued selling Black Talon, without any changes, under the same name. I'd probably buy it if they did, and I don't even know if it was any good or not. Hell, I've bought green tip 5.56 because they were talking about banning it, and green tip sucks.
