  1.  @ekscalybur  Loading a weapon in a moving vehicle is incredibly simple. No different from loading one outside of a vehicle. A horse is very different for a number of reasons, including the balancing act even when it's stopped, and certainly the bumpiness of the ride when it's moving.

  2. Wouldn't the rubber of the cartridges melt when the guns got hot?

  3.  @randymagnum143  I've never shot black powder and have no idea how hot it gets or how quickly. And I do vaguely remember reading in a coffee table book about Civil War weapons years ago that these things had a problem with the rubber cartridges melting and sticking in chambers.
