@TrolloTV You are mistaken. Look at the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. It was too little, too late, but had this happened on a large scale before it was too late, it would have made a significant difference.

@MRKapcer13 And if you think you can't have a guerrilla war in an urban environment, you are beyond mistaken. Having fought against guerrillas in an urban environment in Fallujah, I know that firsthand.

@toast2610 In the 1870s, after the Franco-Prussian war.

@MRKapcer13 The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising was an example of too little, too late. It was a concentrated area to assault, with a relatively small, starving population. Had resistance begun before the concentration into ghettos, the results may have been very different.

@MRKapcer13 Guerrilla war is what they were doing. And it can be a highly effective tactic for poorly trained and armed people against an actual army.

@MRKapcer13 Who was talking about the toppling of governments?
2
@MRKapcer13 No, if you mean "the slaughter of the civilian populace". But that still doesn't mean that guerrilla warfare can't be done in urban environments. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the wider Warsaw Uprising, Budapest 1956, Hue City in 1968, Iraq, etc seem to disprove that claim. In all of these situations, the insurgencies ended up losing. There isn't a great percentage in guerrilla warfare anywhere. But that doesn't mean it can't cause a massive problem for the people the guerrillas are fighting.

@PobortzaPl Yes, and they also had a persistent problem with partisans everywhere they went - especially in the East. Pervasive and sustained armed resistance by the Jews could well have made a difference.

@strider984 I don't see much pattern between Beto O'Rourke, who pretends to be Hispanic, and Elizabeth Warren, who pretends to be an American Indian, and Cory Booker, who is black.
