  1. The Navajo code talkers weren't used for strategic communications, they were only used by the Marine Corps for tactical communications at specific battlefields. The Japanese failure to listen in on American strategic communications prior to Midway (or at any other point in the war) had absolutely nothing to do with them. It was largely due to extreme shortsightedness and gross underestimation of Americans in general by the Japanese.
