  1. Where do you live? When you see how the jet streams interact, it makes sense why certain areas are cooling. In the US, the tropical jet stream is getting enough energy from the pacific warmer waters to bulge into North America. This is causing the Artic jet stream to dip into the American east coast. The tropical stream is putting pressure on the artic stream, which is what is resulting in the artic stream bending.

  2. Carbon dioxide is also a greenhouse gas, which in great quantities can lead to a runaway warming event. See Venus for an example of runaway greenhouse gases. All things in balance. Too little carbon = bad. Too much carbon = bad. Earth is in a natural cycle in which we find ourselves exiting a mini ice age. Our celestial patterns can take thousand(s) of years to cycle. We so happen to find ourselves in a rare celestial cycle with Jupiter that temporarily nudges our orbit towards the sun. Then there is humanity is who generating greenhouse gases at the fastest rate recorded in ecological history, even shadowing that of cataclysms like mega volcano eruptions. The combination of these three events will lead to above average heat cycles for many years. Alarming, but not cataclysmic. My prediction to humanity is that we just don’t know enough about our unfathomably complex climate to accurately predict what will happen in the future. Proceed with caution and continue innovation and advancement of humanity.
