@Novastar.SaberCombat Yes, negative energy matter is one solution to make warp drives work. However, negative matter is still science fiction. We have no evidence supporting that negative matter exists. This video is partially wrong. He made the mistake of referring to anti matter as negative matter. Anti matter behaves exactly like matter does. The only difference is it has opposite charges to matter. The opposite charging itself is quite interesting. Some speculative theories states that it’s possible that anti matter is moving backwards in time. That all an electrical charge indicates is which direction in time molecules travel. We need evidence on this. It’s one of my favorite theories but it still remains science fiction. Another favorite of mine is that gravity itself is not a force. Rather a consequence of time dialation correcting to a mean average. Meaning gravity is the curvature of spacetime, rather than the fundamental force. The big boy quantum physicists are working in thought experiments and tangible experiments for this. We could possibly have a solution for what exactly time is by the time I die. One can remain hopeful lol. The reason i bring this up is we tend to dissociate time from other factors in the universe. Time is just time. When what could actually be going on is time is a very important mechanic within the universe. It doesn’t just imply the direction we travel, but could quite literally explain gravity, anti matter, dark matter, electromagnetic forces, etc.

I tried finding a source for you but was unable to locate one. I’m speculating so take with a grain of salt. I believe that metric just looks at how much anti matter should exist throughout the entire universe. Then it takes our galaxies size and density & calculates roughly how much anti matter (or anti matter stars) we should expect to see within our galaxy. It would at best be a rough estimate. As science still doesn’t know if there’s segments of the universe that are denser with anti matter than others. Could parts of the universe have a higher ratio of anti matter when compared to others? Science just doesn’t know because science hasn’t put forth evidence of pockets of anti matter.
