  1. Bub. You seem to think it’s Russia vs. Ukraine. It’s Russia vs. western influence. Both sides are losing. Russia is wasting its military and economic capability chasing a NATO buffer zone. The western world is losing global geopolitical influence by preventing Russia from annexing Ukraine. The only victors here are China, North Korea, Iran, and India. Collapse of Ukraine won’t happen unless NATO allows it. That day will signify the official end of the US global century of influence. In the midst of a Cold War with China, the US won’t allow such weakness to occur.

  2. False. If the US begins scaling down its military might in favor of economic and diplomatic processes. Our competitors will take over on the global military stage. If you think a global American police force is bad. Wait until you see what a global Chinese police force looks like. It’s not a matter of if. A weak America means another super power will bulldoze into the global spotlight. But sure, keep thinking that we can just become a hippie country that focuses on peace & infrastructure. It would be nice, but this isn’t the reality we live in.
