Based on known physics today, it’s statistically impossible for the universe to be engulfed by a singular black hole. For example: The largest black hole known to date, is only 1% the mass of its host galaxy. Black holes will grow larger over trillions of years. However, spacetime expands faster than the pull of gravity. Unless spacetime expansion stops or reverses, black holes will never win. Also, black holes radiate away via Hawking radiation.

If humans prevent an AI from being able to sustain both forms in the long run via resource completion or habitat destruction, then the AI has a reason to be aggressive.

The crew can enter a room designed to have water pump through its walls, to provide enough shielding through storms & Van Allen Belt at its worst radiation point. While having the tanks at the back of the ship stops constant streams of radiation from the sun.

Your email provider won’t give your email away on a socially engineered customer service call. Verizon, T-Mobile, or any mainstream ISP are notorious for being low security. If someone has your password, they likely have enough info on you to authenticate enough into phone customer support. Your ISP will literally mail a SIM chip to the hacker, and the hacker now has your mobile number. ISP support are supposed to be following authorization protocol. They have back doors into your account if you can’t verify for some obscure reason. Someone can be socially engineered to bypass authentication on your ISP’s end and achieve a means to an end.

As rare earths become more desirable, so does the desire to strip mine the ocean. By continuing the green revolution, it will inevitably bring on the total ecological destruction of the ocean floor as mining/extraction companies destroy entire ecosystems. The solution is fission until we get fusion. It has the least net negative effect on the globe as a whole, as well as a really high net positive energy output.
