  4. 6-7 months one way trip. 12-14 months round trip. This is assuming grav assists are used. Even longer if only using chemical propulsion. To go faster, will require more fuel, or better thrust engine technology.

The crew can enter a room designed to have water pump through its walls, to provide enough shielding through storms & Van Allen Belt at its worst radiation point. While having the tanks at the back of the ship stops constant streams of radiation from the sun.
