Many modern European countries disagree.

@Valkyrutn Time to dunk on you. It's clear you don't know what you're talking about. First off, Spain isn't even a Democratic Socialist country. It's official government is a Parliamentary Monarchy. Second off, there are 10 countries in the EU who are officially Democratic Socialist. Ireland is one of them, and Ireland had one of the largest GDP growths in 2021 out of all of Europe. European Union Mean Average GDP Growth for 2021: 5.4% Democratic Socialist Country GDP Growth for 2021: Turkey - 11.4% Moldova - 13.9% Serbia - 7.5% Croatia - 13.1% Slovenia - 8.2% Italy - 6.6% France - 7% Ireland - 13.5% Netherlands - 5% Germany - 2.9% As you can see, most of the Democratic Socialist countries have a higher GDP growth than the rest of the European Union, which consists of many non-Democratic Socialist countries. So please, don't speak unless you know what you're talking about. Sure look like "crippled" nations to me with thriving 2021 GDP growth. America only had a 5.7% GDP growth. The land of opportunity, yet these "crippled" nations outpaced American GDP.

@Valkyrutn It’s funny how your entire argument boils down into Socialism leads to Communism, and Communism is bad. Meanwhile, you also go on to acknowledge the well established roots of socialism in Europe. So, if communism is inevitable. How come Europe didn’t join the communist revolution that swept Russia? Why is it that modern Europe has an affinity towards economic free markets and socialist government structures? Sounds like you just don’t like Socialism, and assume it will inevitably lead to communism. That is not an inevitability, because neither of us knows the future. So either come out at a prolific shaman, or admit you just don’t like Socialism.
