Unlikely. We live in a dualistic universe. Peace is a moral ideal that isn’t practical based on the laws of physics. Conflict is an inevitable consequence of consciousness. Peace on earth is not possible, because peace leads to chaos. Conflict leads to order. The two live in a perpetual state of balance, ebbing and flowing through time.

Pretty much. The list of things these could be other than alien mega structures is rather big. I mean alien mega structures certainly is the most exciting and scary possibility. But it also is the most unlikely. We got a lot of ruling out to do before we can say crazy advanced aliens share this cosmos with us.

Fermi Paradox and the Great Filter. We live in a cosmos that appears to offer an abundance of life-bearing conditions. Yet the only known example of life in the whole known cosmos is right here on Earth. So, where is everyone? The Great Filter hypothesis offers a candidate possibility by suggesting that something prevents species from reaching a certain level of civilizational intelligence. If the Great Filter hypothesis is true. It suggests that the filter is either ahead of us or behind us. Either we’re one of a very select few who survived passing through the filter. Or the filter is ahead of us and we’ll be destroyed. One doesn’t have to be incompetent or self destructive to self eliminate. Perhaps the filter is something unsuspecting that even the most advanced of civilizations can’t predict until it’s already too late. Filters could be anything. Maybe going multicellular is a great filter that weeds most life out before it can become complex. Maybe a great filter is having life sprout on a planet early enough to give it enough time to evolve before the sun dies a heat death. Maybe asteroid bombardment acts as a great filter by constantly impacting celestial bodies in other solar systems. Maybe humans accidentally create a black hole that eventually consumes the whole planet.
