@ZeroOskul Assuming they are restricted by the speed of light. The taboo and stigma is beginning to wear off of warp drives. Alexey drive managed to correct the issues with the Alcubierre drive. The Alexey drive is still too unpractical for humans to build. We probably won’t ever build aj Alexey drive because the physics and engineering required is just too massive. Like beyond this Earth kind of massive. The Alexey drive does stand to serve as a proof of concept. It’s the first time ever that someone scientifically proved that a warp drive is possible. Now the real question is can science build upon the proof of concept and find a more practical solution for building a warp drive? It’s no longer science fiction. It’s science fact. Just because we humans are incapable of building one, doesn’t mean one isn’t possible within the laws of this universe. We just have to think bigger to reach our potential.

@God_of_Calamity I’ve been following the Luis/Pentagon/Navy story since it blew up to the mainstream. Over the last few months of following this. I’ve seen comment sections EXPLODE with religious people preaching about cataclysm, judgement day, the second coming, that these UFO’s are demons in disguise, etc. Then I heard Luis say that a large reason for the coverup is that these UFO’s challenged the religious beliefs of senior pentagon officials. They also believed they were seeing the devil in these craft and decided it would be best to look away. At this point I don’t even think our government fears public outlash. I think the dinosaurs that run our government and military institutions are afraid themselves, because they are god fearing. I cannot wait for the day the mantle of power is shifted to a fresher generation. So tired of the boomer status quo that refuses to adapt.

@God_of_Calamity Yup the cult of religion is going to cause so much chaos. They can’t handle losing their centric view of humanity. What a selfish lot. They believe this entire universe is just for us.

@Aidan Hand What does alien mean to you? Do you believe the universe is empty, other than us?

@kidddogbites The Alexey drive has me so excited! It’s a proof of concept that FINALLY has taken warp drives from science fiction, to science. The Alexey drive is too reliant on gravity. It’s a proof of concept, but it’s too massive for us to build. My hopes is that the Alexey drive finally washes away the taboo and stigma that comes along with warp drives in the scientific community. It’s a neglected field of research and study. The Alexey drive not only proves it’s possible to build a warp drive. But it also proves that massive objects warp space time all around the universe. Confirming a theoretical assumption of Einstein. My hopes is that we begin finding a more viable alternative to warp space time. We have anti matter, dark matter, dark energy, the electromagnetic force, and the strong/weak nuclear forces. Could any of these forces warp space time? What about a combination of them? Can they be used to make a more practical warp drive? I’m excited for the future!

@uncletrashero 🥴 Is that what you really believe? I’m so tired of this mainstream popularization of human pessimism that’s occurred in the 21st century. Humans are a product of a finite world. Same as possible intelligent extraterrestrials out there. We haven’t even reached the post-scarcity era for energy and resources. We are still finite creatures competing on a finite planet. An extraterrestrial that has existed for eons as a post scarcity species will still understand the trials and tribulations of a species currently existing with scarcity concerns. Because those extraterrestrials were once finite species living on their own finite world. Murder, greed, and selfishness just comes with being a survivor. Those traits assisted us in conquering our natural predators 300,00 years ago. Those traits allowed us to ascend to alpha omega of Earth. Those traits lost their purpose once we achieved alpha omega. They take thousands of years to naturally select out of our genetics. We’ve spent a couple thousand years building complex civilizations. Our brains are hardwired for what modern humans spent 80% of our existence doing; hunting and gathering. Our brains are not wired to be successful in these complex civilizations we’ve built for ourselves. It’s a unique problem to have. Our civil intelligence and technological capability is vastly outpacing or biological evolution. It accounts for many of the issues we see in society today. We humans are so smart we literally outpace evolution. Yet you think that’s deserving of being quarantined away by other galactic species?

West West Lol so says you.

@ZeroOskul The Alexey drive requires a mass the size of the earth, to be condensed down to the density of a proton star. One teaspoon of a proton star weighs 1 billion tons. So yes, I would say that warp drives are currently beyond humanity. Your claim that they exist in laboratories is an extraordinary claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If you can provide me conclusive evidence of this, I’ll eat my own shoe.

@kidddogbites Oh? No I haven’t! Thanks! Something new to research now 😁
