  1. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Extraordinary evidence requires extraordinary effort. There has not yet been an extraordinary effort done by the public scientific and academic community. The pressure in favor of further analysis and research is mounting. To say it’s illogical is a lazy cop-out. The burden of proof is slowly beginning to shift. Instead of saying “provide evidence it’s happening”. We’re starting to be able to say “provide evidence it’s not happening”. The pentagon is also in the hot seat now as well. Be more like Avi Loeb & dare to dream, and take the steps to actually bring theory to experiment.

  3. Assuming they don’t have a better grasp on physics than we do & capable of achieving relativistic speeds. If they exist, they’re likely to be older and more advanced than us. GR is incomplete and there’s many great cosmological & physical mysteries left awaiting answers. One breakthrough can change the way we view physics, and the way we view cosmological travel.

  4. Hard to tell. Publicly, we don’t know for sure life exists beyond our planet. It’s likely, but no public evidence suggests so. Therefore it’s hard to imagine alien biology and if it’s even compatible or similar to earth biology. Alien germs could be utterly incompatible, or surprisingly and scarily similar.
