  1. If you lived in a Commonwealth country, this would be as normal as elections. Since 2000, Canadian federal parliament was been prorogued at least three times. The only difference with UK is that it is not requested directly from the Queen but to HM's representative in Canada, the Governor General. This also happens at the provincial level. So ... nothing to see here folks. Move along.
