  19.  @mattiasdahlstrom2024  that sounds a bit much? A tank battalion of ~45 tanks would stretch 13.5km. It's organic supply/maintenance and HQ vehicles would be another 10km. I recall us being 100m apart on road marches to attack positions (8 km total column length). The air defence is manageable at that point and the route density factor would be more efficient when considering trying to concentrate forces quickly.

Then RU can roll wherever they want. I actually feel sorry for UA soldiers. They must be under tremendous strain. That they have still manged to keep most of the wheels on is an achievement. But given that they share the Stalingrad DNA with the Russians, it's understandable.

  50. Perhaps the UK advisors are trying to revive the commando raids from WW2. The aims being, yes, propoganda value but also to make the Germans commit forces to coastal defence instead of being employed against the Soviets. The most famous raid was at Dieppe in 1942. The raid went badly where the Canadians lost 1000 killed and 2000 captured in a single day because they could not be reinforced or withdrawn. This is what could happen with a large UA raid in Crimea. History my not repeat but it does rhyme.
