  1. Even while Detroit was doing well due to the auto industry, it was being hollowed out by Mayor Coleman Young (74-94) and the unions. Kwame, who followed, was a disaster. It was Mike Duggan that started the turn around. A lot of Detroiters came out for Trump, sick of 50 years of nothing burgers.
